Moe was amazing! This was my first time visiting him, so I called ahead to ask about pricing. He actually waited until after I arrived before taking his lunch break. He was incredibly kind and worked with me to stay within my budget, giving me an amazing price on these six gorgeous sunflowers. I’d checked a few grocery stores beforehand, and not only were they significantly more expensive per stem, but the flowers were also wilted and nowhere near this quality. These are beautiful, fresh, and still have room to bloom. Moe also took great care to explain how to care for them so they’d last as long as possible, carefully wrapped them with my input throughout, and we ended up having such a lovely conversation. He was so sweet and generous, and I couldn’t recommend him more.

I love this place. Moe is a grumpy old man who can come off as harsh when you first meet him haha, but he has a heart of gold. His flowers are always fresh, he gives good prices, and he’s incredibly hardworking. He’s the kind of person who will give you the shirt off his back when he knows he can trust you. Owning a shop in the middle of a college town has posed a lot of issues for him - specifically, people stealing and taking advantage of the fact that he is older - yet he still does his best every day to make special arrangements for his customers (even if he has to be more grumpy on the outside). Give him a shot! He’s a sweetheart. :)

My favorite florist in all of Berkeley! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and sources high-quality flowers - you won't find roses this big at any grocery chains I guarantee you that. The prices are fair - my lilies (7 buds total) were $13.50 including tax. He also offers student and returning customer discounts. P.S. Don’t be discouraged by the negative reviews - I actually prefer letting him choose the flowers because his arrangements turn out beautifully, and he includes filler leaves at no surcharge. Edit: I told Mr. Moe the roses were for a friend who has cats, and he noted that he wouldn't include baby's breath this time because they're toxic for cats - isn't he the best?

Moe prepared a beautiful bouquet and was lovely to talk with. He has a great assortment of flowers that make a wonderful, well-priced gift! I really appreciated the care and expertise with which he selected and arranged the flowers. It shows why he’s been in business for decades—he knows what he’s doing. The location is also very convenient to the university. Thanks, Moe!

Moe has been selling flowers at this location since the mid 1980s. I first started buying flowers from him in the early 1990s! He's a sweet guy, originally from Eastern Europe, who likes to make flower bouquets and plants affordable, especially for students. He will make you a gorgeous bouquet at a good price. When I need to buy flowers for someone in the areas near campus, I go out of my way to support him and his business. On Friday Oct 29 2021, I called him to confirm his hours, and it turned out I wasn't going to be able to get to him before he was supposed to close. Without my requesting it, he offered to stay open an 30 extra minutes for me to get there in time and buy a bouquet. In my experience, he has always been super friendly yet professional, he works quickly, and he gives me a great deal. The huge, gorgeous bouquet in this review cost $25 (though I added a tip on top of that). Check him out, and help support long-time, local merchants.
